Hi, I am Masahi, a Japanese camper. My wife and I have been camping together for about five years, with around 20 to 30 trips so far.
How we camp
Our style is relaxed, comfortable auto camping: we drive to the campsite, park next to our tent, and take our time. We mostly camp from spring to autumn. Our favorite places are campsites with a view of Mt. Fuji, such as Fumotoppara, and we love finding a hot spring near the campsite.
We are not professional guides or outdoor experts. We are ordinary campers who love sitting by a fire with a view of the mountains.
How we write this blog
- Gear we actually use: we share our own experience, including what we do not like.
- Gear we have not used: we clearly say that the information comes from research, not from our own trips.
- Safety first: we never recommend using stoves or heaters inside a tent.
We do not write about winter camping, because we have not done it ourselves.
Gear we use
- Coleman Touring Dome Air LX+ (tent)
- A LOGOS two-room tent
- Coleman Ray Chair NX18 and Coleman Infinity Chair
- Iwatani Tough-Maru cassette gas stove
- A deep multi griddle
- Coleman Master Series air mattress
- LOGOS ice packs and a small Opinel knife
